In a bid to tackle the growing issue of school dropouts, Aran Organization has formed a voluntary group in Chamchamal. The initiative was launched with the collaboration of activists, teachers, social workers, and school supervisors, aiming to address and prevent the phenomenon of students dropping out of school in the region.

First Meeting and Key Decisions

The group held its first meeting on July 3, 2019, at Aran Organization’s office in Chamchamal. The primary goal of the group is to prevent school dropouts, particularly those caused by family pressures, and to address the underlying educational challenges in the region.

At the meeting, the following key decisions were made:

1. How the group will work:

• Pressure on the Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Region to address the educational issues contributing to school dropouts.
• Coordination with the Chamchamal Education Administration to ensure the necessary support.
• Raising awareness within the community through seminars, training, and utilizing social media platforms.

2. Upcoming Activities:

• Wide-scale meeting involving all group members.
• Coordination with the Chamchamal Human Rights Office, including a report on the dropout phenomenon narrated by Mr. Shwan Raheem.
• Visit to the Education Administration in Chamchamal and a meeting with the director to discuss the issue.
• Home visits to families of students who have dropped out to understand the root causes.
• Requesting data on the number of school dropouts in the area.

3. Long-term Goals:

• Coordination between social workers to provide holistic support for at-risk students.
• Strengthening relationships with school supervisors to improve educational outcomes.
• Enhancing the knowledge and skills of teachers to better address the needs of students and prevent dropout.

For tries to prevent drop out school by students, Aran organization has been formed a voluntary group in cooperation with numerous of activists

in Chamchaml.
The group held 1st meeting of it at Aran Organization’s office in Chamchmal on 3rd July 2019.

The overall goal of formation that group is trying to preventing drop out school in Chamchamal area focusing on phenomenon drop out of school ( preventing by their families)

The group contain of number of activists, teachers, social workers, and school supervisors.

At the first meeting of the group the attends have decided on the following decisions.

First: About how to working:-

1- Make pressure on Education Ministry of Kurdistan region for addressing educational problems.

2- Coordination with administration of education in Chamcmal

3- spread awareness among society through seminar, trainingm and take advantage of social media.

Second: about upcoming activities.

Holding wide meeting with participation all group members.-
Coordination with human rights office in Chamchmal and ask to Mr. Shwan Raheem who narrated report about phenomenon drop out studentsin Chamchamal area.
Visiting to administration of educational in Chachmal and meeting with director of it.
Visiting to some of those families who drop out them students of school for discussing about that topic to reach the major reasons of that phenomenon.
Asking an data about number of dropouts.

Third: about long term goals of the group.
Making coordination among social workers
Meeting and coordination with school’s supervisors
Improving and rising information and deepening information level of teachers.

Aran Organization is supporting that group and doing what needed to reach the group  goals.
