On September 20, 2016, the Aran Organization marked International Youth Day with an inspiring activity held in Charmo City. This special event brought together 21 internally displaced (IDP) girls to celebrate the resilience, strength, and potential of youth in shaping a better future.

The activity aimed to provide a safe space for the girls to engage in meaningful discussions and participate in creative and recreational activities. Through this event, the Aran Organization sought to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among the participants, who have faced significant challenges due to displacement.

The program included interactive sessions, team-building exercises, and artistic activities that allowed the girls to express themselves and share their aspirations. The event also highlighted the importance of education, leadership, and active participation in community development.

Speaking at the event, a representative of the Aran Organization emphasized the significance of empowering young girls, particularly those from marginalized communities, to take charge of their futures. “Youth are the driving force for change, and empowering girls is a crucial step towards building a more inclusive and equitable society,” the representative noted.

The celebration concluded with a collective pledge to continue supporting youth, particularly girls from vulnerable backgrounds, and to advocate for their rights and opportunities.

This activity is a testament to the Aran Organization’s ongoing commitment to promoting a culture of peace, nonviolence, and human rights awareness, especially for displaced and underserved communities. Through events like these, the organization continues to inspire hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
